A quick checklist of documents, age rules, and payment details so pickup at our Clarendon or Kingston branch takes minutes, not hours.
Four things to have ready at pickup
Valid Driver's License
Jamaican renters need a current local license held for at least 2 years. Visitors may drive on a valid overseas or international license for up to 12 months.
Government-Issued ID or Passport
Jamaican citizens present a valid TRN card or national ID. Overseas visitors present a valid passport along with their license.
Credit or Debit Card
A card in the driver's name is required at pickup to place the refundable security deposit and cover the rental balance.
Minimum Age Requirement
Drivers must be at least 21 years old for sedans and compacts, and 23 years old for SUVs and larger vehicles. A young-driver surcharge applies under 25.
Insurance, deposits, and everyday policies
Insurance & Damage Waiver
Every rental includes basic third-party coverage. A Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) can be added at pickup to reduce your liability on scratches, dents, and windshield damage.
Security Deposit
A refundable deposit of US$200-US$400 (vehicle-dependent) is held on your card at pickup and released within 5-7 business days after a clean return inspection.
Fuel Policy
Vehicles leave our branch with a full tank and should be returned full. Vehicles returned below the marked level are refuelled at the prevailing pump rate plus a service fee.
Additional Drivers
Anyone else who will drive must be listed at pickup and meet the same license and age requirements. A small daily fee applies per extra driver.
